The Danville Inn and Conference Center is a 127 room exterior-corridor full service hotel located at Exit 220 on Interstate 74. It is the only full service motel in the area.  This property has undergone nearly $200,000.00 worth of improvements over the last six months. Most of the guest rooms have been renovated, installing new bedspreads, mattresses, and drapes and carpeting where needed and painting throughout. 80 rooms have three year old furniture, fixtures & drapes. The parking lot has been patched and striped. The exterior has added curbside appeal by changing the color of all trim and painting all the exterior brick, New exterior lighting and corridor carpets have been installed. There is a newly renovated outdoor pool. Both the indoor and outdoor pools have been drained and painted this year.

The Danville Inn and Conference Center is beginning to see the return of some of their old corporate accounts since the recent renovation. This is a good indication that many consumers still prefer a full service motel where they are not just a number.

Eastgate Park has just expanded its boundary to the South side of I 74. Alcoa has completed a new  $200,000,000.00 plant that could employee up to 300 in the future. Danville Economic Development President Vickie Stewart has indicated that there are several red hot prospects for more   industrial expansion in the near future. This opportunity and expansion puts The Danville Inn and Conference Center in a position to secure over night rooms and revenues could climb back to at least 1994 levels.

The 9,000 square foot space that  formerly housed the Off Track Betting Facility  is available and Dana Wheeler of What’s Cooking is marketing this area as a potential banquet and or Bingo/Raffle operation. It is a space that can easily be used to accommodate 450 to 550 people for a party or dinner. She held her first reception there this past December.

Since the recent renovations, our banquet business has increased significantly. Lauhoff Grain held its Christmas banquet there for the first time in several years. Banquet Bookings are up for 2008 and What’s Cooking has several large wedding receptions and corporate banquets booked for 2008.  The Danville Inn and Conference Center may not be the newest hotel in the area, but it remains one of the largest both in structure and land size.  The property is in a position to offer the new owner with a renovated full service hotel located on a major interstate between Champaign, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana.
