The Good, the Bad and the Educated will gather in Nellis Gym at Coffeyville Community College (CCC) on May 3, 2008 for the annual Foundation Auction. The Auction raises $80,000 or more each year with all proceeds going toward scholarships for future Red Ravens. The CCC Foundation would like to challenge donors to raise enough funds that every student who desires to become a Red Raven, work hard and make a difference can come to Coffeyville and receive a scholarship.
The Foundation Auction is the premier event of the year and one that more than 500 Red Raven fans will not miss. Break out the cowboy hats, boots and belt buckles for a western celebration to raise scholarship dollars. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with dinner served at 5 p.m. and live auction bidding starting at 7 p.m. Dinner at Red Raven Corral will include ribs, smoked chicken, brisket, baked beans, coleslaw and cobbler with ice cream. Pre-dinner hors d’oeuvres will include the crowd favorite of shrimp. More than 300 silent auction items will be available for bidding while 50-75 live auction items will bring some of the higher bids. Items range from furniture and trips to a car, kids toys and much more.
